Talent X Academy is proud to highlight one of its most exciting young prospects, Blake Argent, a standout performer making a strong impact across multiple levels of the football pyramid and beyond.
A commanding presence on the pitch, Blake has already compiled an impressive list of achievements. He played a pivotal role in securing victory in the Costa Daurada Cup, confidently converting the decisive penalty in the U15 final, an early indication of his composure under pressure. His contribution sparked jubilant celebrations as he helped lead his team to success on the European stage.
Blake has also tested himself at the highest level of youth football, featuring in the prestigious FA Youth Cup against Leyton Orient. Reaching the second round as an U16 further highlighted his rapid progression and ability to compete against elite opposition.
Now captaining the Chesham United U18 side, Blake has developed into a natural leader, setting standards and inspiring teammates. His performances have earned him valuable opportunities with both Tring Athletic’s first team and Chesham United’s senior squad, clear evidence of his maturity and continued development.
Renowned for his technical ability and attacking quality, Blake has produced standout moments this season, including a spectacular top-corner finish and a brilliantly struck free-kick. He has also featured in a high-profile fixture against Manchester City, gaining valuable experience and showcasing his potential on a bigger stage.
Widely regarded as the standout player within the current U18 squad, Blake Argent serves as a role model for aspiring players across Talent X Academy, Chesham United, and Tring Athletic. Driven, focused, and consistently delivering in key moments, he embodies the qualities of a top-level footballer.
As Blake approaches the completion of his two-year scholarship with Talent X Football Academy, where he has trained full-time, his future looks incredibly bright. The sky is truly the limit for this young star.
His success is also reflected in team achievements. Blake played a key role in Chesham’s U18 County Cup triumph, contributed to back-to-back Brian Hitchins League Cup victories, and was part of the U17 squad that secured the league title, demonstrating a consistent winning mentality.
We spoke to Blake earlier and he said:
“What a journey it’s been from being released from academy football to finding a real family at Talent X. From scoring the winning penalty in Barcelona to FA Youth Cup runs and cup wins, the experience has been incredible. The college programme helped me develop through daily training and competitive matches, while opportunities in men’s football saw me break into Tring Athletic F.C. first team and feature for Chesham United F.C. at senior level. Grateful for the teammates I now call brothers and all the coaches who supported me along the way.”
Kieran Turner, CEO of Talent X Football Academy:
“Blake is exactly the type of player we value, he’s thrown himself into JPL, showcase fixtures, and U18 matches, progressed through our pathway, and become a role model for others. We’re incredibly proud of his journey, and there’s so much more to come.”
Liam Walsh, Academy Manager of Talent X Football Academy:
“Working with Blake over the past two years on a daily basis, it’s been incredible to watch him grow from a boy into a man. His footballing ability continues to improve year on year, and I’m excited to see how far his journey can go.”
