THE ULTIMATE FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE

Join our full-time 16-18 football college programme with Talent-X  in Redbourn, Hertfordshire, and unlock your potential!

In our programme, you’ll acquire the essential skills to elevate your football abilities and gain valuable experience in the sports and leisure sectors. As part of your journey, all students will work towards achieving a Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Sport, with additional opportunities to pursue coaching qualifications.

We are gathering interest for the 2026/27 season. If you are a Year 11 student (U16) and are still undecided about your school or college plans, we invite you to discover the exciting opportunities within our Full-Time Education and Football Programme.

We offer a full-time, performance-based academy experience, catering to talented footballers completing year 11 at their secondary school.

College Trials - February 2026

Following the success of our two previous trials, we’re excited to announce a third one coming in February.

This trial is open to Year 11 students ready to take the next step in their football journey. 

Trial Details:

📅 Date: Monday 16th February 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Venue: Harpenden Town Rugby Club, Redbourn Ln, Harpenden AL5 2BA
⚽ Pitch: Astroturf

Our college programme provides top-level coaching, performance support, and an academic pathway designed to help you succeed both on and off the pitch. Whether your goal is professional football or a career in sport, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Open Days - February 2026

Join us on Wednesday 4th February 2026 or Wednesday 11th February 2026, from 7.00pm to 8.00pm, at Datalogic House, Redbourn.

These sessions are a great opportunity to view our facilities, find out more about the programme, and ask any questions you may have. You will also have the chance to meet Liam Walsh, Head of our Football College Programme, who brings a wealth of experience and a real passion for developing young players.

Liam Walsh will take the reins of our Football College Programme as the U16-U18 Academy Manager at Talent X for the 25/26 season. His 14 years of teaching experience, coupled with his keen insight into educational requirements and dedication to nurturing young talent, make him the ideal leader for our course.

PLayer Journey

Will Hall, who is a left footed centre back, made strides from Talent X to securing a deal with Watford. Subsequently, he obtained his scholarship and joined Talent X Management. Following the completion of his BTEC at Watford and the absence of a professional offer, Will signed with Boston United at step 2.

Concurrently, he is pursuing his University degree for Sport psychology at Loughborough University.

Exit Routes

These exit routes offer diverse opportunities for individuals involved in football, whether it be through education, playing at different levels, or contributing to the sport in non-playing roles.

Each pathway requires dedication, skill development, and a strategic approach to make the most out of the opportunities available.

Pursue athletic scholarships in the U.S, balancing academics and football through organisations like NCAA or NAIA.

Continue education while playing football at English universities, leveraging strong football programs and potential connections to professional clubs.

Transition from amateur to semi-pro and professional levels by showcasing skills in local leagues and catching the attention of scouts.

Explore coaching opportunities, from youth development to professional teams, or specialise in sports science, analysis, and personal training for football players.
